About SelfSense
SelfSense is first a somatic practice and second an app. The practice — first presented at Martin Gropius Bau in 2022 — investigates what happens to a body when it can see its own nervous system in real time. The app is one branch of that work: a free TestFlight beta for iPhone and Apple Watch that brings fractal HRV and movement-variability tracking into everyday life. The pages below cover what the app does, the optional companion server for group sessions, and how to get in touch.

What Is the SelfSense App?
SelfSense is an HRV and movement-variability training app for iPhone and Apple Watch. It uses fractal variability and DFA alpha analysis to help your nervous system become more adaptive — not just more calm.
SelfSense Server
The SelfSense Server is an optional companion service for multi-sensor and group sessions. Try the hosted instance over WebSocket, or self-host for OSC and Bluetooth support.
Contact SelfSense
Get in touch with the SelfSense team for support, feedback, business inquiries, or to join our HRV training community. We're here to help you improve your heart rate variability.
